Information Collected
Extinction Cycle Wiki is operated by Capcy LLC. You do not need an account to browse the site, and the site does not ask for personal information for ordinary reading.
If you email the site, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in the message. Hosting providers and third-party services may also collect ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, requested URLs, and request time for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate traffic measurement.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This site and third-party partners may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, keep the site secure, and, where advertising is enabled, serve and measure ads.
You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site or third-party services may not work as intended without them.
Advertising and Google AdSense
The site does not currently place display advertisements. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.
Before Google advertising is enabled for visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the site will deploy a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where Google requires it.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of some third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google advertising technologies.
Analytics
The site uses its own Google Analytics 4 property with Google Consent Mode and a first-party aggregate interaction tracker. Analytics is on by default where opt-out is permitted so the operator can understand which pages, links, searches, filters, and workflows are useful. For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google Analytics storage starts denied and changes to granted only after an explicit analytics choice. Advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain disabled everywhere unless the operator separately approves advertising or personalization.
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for Google's explanation of its data practices.
Google Analytics and the first-party tracker may count page views, content opens, searches, filters, form workflow steps, primary actions, outbound destination domains, and error pages. They do not store form contents, search text, email addresses, phone numbers, complete URLs, query strings, fragments, raw IP addresses, or full browser user-agent strings. Random browser identifiers are HMAC-hashed by the server, and first-party event records are retained for no more than 400 days.
Independent Apache access logs are also used for security, troubleshooting, crawler filtering, and aggregate traffic reporting. You can opt out of analytics or change your saved choice at any time on the Privacy Choices page. If you opt out, Google Consent Mode is updated to deny analytics storage, accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site are cleared, and the first-party interaction tracker stops sending events from that browser.
Your Choices and Rights
You can control cookies through your browser, opt out of personalized ads using the links above, and browse the site without sending personal details.
Visitors in jurisdictions with privacy rights may contact admin@extinctioncycle.com to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information connected to messages they sent to the site.
The site does not sell personal information for money. Interest-based advertising can be limited through browser controls, Google settings, and the advertising opt-out links above.
If future advertising or data practices qualify as a sale or sharing under an applicable privacy law, the site will add the legally required opt-out mechanism before that processing begins.
Children, Retention, and Security
This site is not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Messages sent to the site are retained only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
Third-Party Links and Changes
The site links to external websites, including retailers, author pages, publisher pages, and social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
