Series role

Extinction NZ moves the Variant catastrophe to New Zealand and gives the wiki a regional companion arc outside the main American military and Allied States storyline. The books keep the same extinction framework while following a different survivor network, geography, and social collapse.

The current NZ pass should be treated as a regional spine: Jack and Dee form the strongest recurring footprint, while Boss, Ben, George, Alice, Maggie, Pig, Yalonda, Derek, Hone, Max, Marco, and other survivors build the local web around them.

Book progression

The Rule of Three begins the New Zealand arc with a shorter outbreak survival structure built around Jack, Dee, Boss, Ben, George, Alice, and other early survivors. The Fourth Phase expands the cast and pressure, adding stronger footprints for Maggie, James, Katherine, Eric, Becs, Ian, Tony, Beth, Hone, and Max. The Five Pillars continues the later-stage regional conflict with Pig, Yalonda, Derek, Duke, Aroha, Sophie, and other recurring figures becoming more visible. The Sixth Law then jumps into post-reclamation family stakes, with Marco and the Renegades making the New Zealand arc a next-generation crisis instead of only an outbreak survival thread.

For the wiki, the series needs character pages that explain the New Zealand survivor web on its own terms while still linking back to Variant taxonomy, Hemorrhage Virus, and the broader Extinction tie-in structure.

Connection to the larger wiki

The NZ books should not be folded into Team Ghost or the Allied States command tree. Their value is that they show the same catastrophe from a separate geography and community structure.

The right wiki model is a companion-series hub with book pages, cast pages, survivor-community pages, and reciprocal links to the main lore terms. That lets readers move from VX-99 and Variants into regional consequences without making every storyline subordinate to Reed Beckham's arc.
