Overview

Crossover Characters is the group page for outside-survivor figures who briefly enter the Extinction Cycle world through the Missions Vol. 1 story Extinction: Trippin. The page should keep them separate from standard main-series military command. Their role is connected but temporary: they support the Atlanta rescue without replacing the main Extinction Horizon arc.

The crossover material works because it highlights how terrifying the Extinction Cycle Variants are when seen by people used to different apocalyptic rules. These monsters are fast, aggressive, intelligent, biological, and far more lethal than slower undead traditions.

Purpose and origin

The group's origin is Trip's reality-shifting intervention. Mike, BT, and Mrs. Deneaux are pulled into the Atlanta zone near Emory University and the CDC during the early Hemorrhage Virus crisis. Their purpose is not to understand the whole world. Their purpose is immediate: create a diversion that draws Variant attention at the right moment so Reed Beckham can get Kate Lovato away from Atlanta before the city is destroyed.

Membership

Story evidenceped members include:

Trip: The strange catalyst who brings the group into the Extinction Cycle world and provides cryptic mission direction.

Mike: Practical emotional center, rifleman, reluctant mission leader, and the person who turns Trip's guidance into action.

BT: Armed ally and part of Mike's outside-survivor circle.

Leadership

Mike functions as the practical field leader because he establishes perimeter thinking, asks for actionable information, and turns chaos into movement. Trip is the catalyst and strange guide, but Mike carries the tactical responsibility.

Internal structure

The crossover group is temporary and informal:

Trip provides the impossible transition and broad mission prompt.

Mike translates that prompt into tactics.

BT and Mrs. Deneaux provide firepower and support.

Major conflicts

Their main conflict is the Atlanta diversion. They fight Variants near the CDC and Emory zone, understanding that they may die by monsters or by bombing if they fail to move at the right time. Their role is morally narrow but strategically important. A few outsiders with rifles can matter if placed in the exact window where Beckham and Kate need seconds.

Timeline of activity

Arrival: Trip brings Mike, BT, and Mrs. Deneaux into the Extinction Cycle world.

Orientation: The group realizes it is near the CDC/Emory area during a Variant outbreak.

Mission decision: They determine their job is to draw Variant attention away from Beckham's rescue.

Diversion fight: Mike and the others fire on the horde and buy time.

Relationships to other groups

The crossover characters relate to Team Ghost and the CDC only indirectly. They are not command participants. Their closest link is the Atlanta rescue. They help Beckham and Kate without ever becoming part of the main chain of command. Their page should link to Missions Vol. 1, Extinction: Trippin, Atlanta rescue, Mike, Trip, BT, and Mrs. Deneaux.
